5 Daily Health Practices

Practice these 5 habits every day and improve your health dramatically.

Move More: Challenge yourself to find ways to move your body.  Choose stairs over the elevator, forgo the closest parking spot search for one that's farther away.  Anything that moves your limbs is not only a fitness tool, but a stress buster.  You don't have to hit the gym for hours at a time, just think of moving in small increments of time.

Cut Fat:
Obviously avoid nasty fried foods, high fat meals and fatty meats and try to cut or substitute other undesirable products.  Every day versions of your favorite mayonnaise, cheese and sauces have better alternatives to choose from, all it takes is a little research at the grocery store.

Floss Your Teeth:
Recent studies make a direct connection between longevity and teeth flossing.  No one knows exactly why, some believe that it's because people who floss tend to be more health conscious than people who don't.  Implement this into your daily routine and do your body a favor.

Wear Your Seat Belt:  You would be surprised at the people who still don't wear seat belts every time they get in a car.  Statistics show that seat belts add to longevity and help alleviate potential injuries in car crashes.  It's right there for the using, take advantage.

Avoid Excessive Drinking:  Does your daily routine consist of hitting the bar after work?  You may want to think again about how you choose to unwind.  Sure, studies show that a glass of wine or a drink a day (2 for men) can help protect against heart disease, but more can cause health problems like liver and kidney disease and even cancer.  Moderation is the key.
